  1.          ------   PLEASURE ZONES from VIVID INTERACTIVE   ------

  3. Welcome to the PLEASURE ZONES from Vivid Interactive.  This file includes 
  4. a brief startup guide and instructions to help you get the most enjoyment 
  5. out of the program.  It also includes tips for improving the performance 
  6. on slower PCs.

  11. GETTING STARTED
  12. ---------------
  13.  
  14. Pleasure Zones is a Windows program, located in the PC directory.
  15. There are lots of ways to start it up.  Here are just a few:
  16.  
  17. 1)  From the Windows Program Manager: select Run from the File 
  18.     menu and type the full pathname.  For instance, if your CD-ROM
  19.     is drive G, you would type:
  20.     G:\PC\ZONES
  21.     Or you can run the File Manager and use method 2.
  22.  
  23. 2)  From the Windows File Manager: select your CD-ROM drive, then
  24.     open the PC directory and double click on ZONES.EXE.
  25.  
  26. 3)    From DOS: switch to your CD-ROM drive. At the prompt type:
  27.     CD PC
  28.     WIN ZONES
  29.     This will start up Windows and run the program.  If Windows is
  30.     already running and you're shelled out to DOS, then you must 
  31.     exit DOS first, then launch the program from Windows.
  32.  
  33. 4)  From the installed program group: simply click on the ZONES icon.
  34.     To create a program group on your Windows desktop, run the 
  35.     Install program included on the PC directory of the CD-ROM. 
  36.     The installation procedure will not copy any files to your 
  37.     hard drive.
  38.  
  39. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
  40. ---------------------------------------
  41.   
  42.   IBM 80386 or compatible - 80486 will perform better
  43.  
  44.   5mb of free RAM  - with 8 MB recommended
  45.  
  46.   Double Speed CD-ROM Drive & Sound card (with most recent drivers!)
  47.  
  48.   Graphics Support for 8-bit or 16-bit color
  49.   
  50.   Microsoft Windows 3.1 and above with Mouse
  51.  
  52. If you have a screen saver active, you may want to disable it prior 
  53. to starting the program. If the screen saver becomes active while
  54. using the program you may lose your cursor. If this happens, just 
  55. press ESC to quit the program.
  56.  
  57. Some high resolution video cards may require updated drivers in 
  58. order to work properly with QuickTime for Windows. If you experience 
  59. problems when starting or running the Program, contact your Video 
  60. Card manufacturer to inquire about updated software for their card.
  61.  
  62. Try 16-bit color mode.  The quality is astonishing and most 
  63. graphics cards can handle it.  Although 8, 4, and even 2-bit color is 
  64. supported, the image quality suffers as the number of bits 
  65. decreases.  When you're in 16-bit mode, a pretty grim message is 
  66. printed before the program runs.  But be daring and give it a go.  If 
  67. things look screwy, just reboot your computer and start over.  If 
  68. you find that 16-bit mode causes the program to run like molasses, 
  69. you may want to switch back to 8-bit mode.  For the best results, 
  70. make sure your screen is in 640 by 480 mode.

  75. EXPLORING THE PLEASURE ZONES
  76. ----------------------------

  78. Start up Pleasures Zones as described above.  After the 
  79. introductory movie is over, take a look at your screen.  On the right 
  80. half is a photo of a beautiful woman.  If you touch her just right, 
  81. she will treat you to a movie and a slide show.  If you're rough or 
  82. rude, she'll keep her secrets to herself.  Don't blow it!
  83.  
  84. To start off, that beautiful woman's in charge and she's changing 
  85. the cursor on the screen.  One minute it's a hand, the next it's a pair 
  86. of lips or a feather.  These are the tools of the trade for exploring 
  87. her Pleasure Zones.  If you want to see what other sex goodies are 
  88. available, pull down the "Goodies" menu at the top of the screen.  
  89. To heat up your ravishing partner, you must click and rub her in 
  90. the right place at the right time.  For each goody, she will have one 
  91. or two favorite places for you to apply them.  Each time you touch 
  92. the right Pleasure Zone, she will give you an encouraging message 
  93. and the red indicator button at the bottom of the screen will move 
  94. to the right.  Don't mess up, or you'll tick her off and she'll cool 
  95. down.  And don't linger too long in the same place, or you'll just 
  96. bore her.  You may need a lot of experimentation to figure out just 
  97. what she likes.  Life is like that.  But don't give up - the reward is 
  98. worth the effort. 
  99.  
  100. If you do the right thing, you'll peg the red indicator and the 
  101. SexPad panel will slide up, exposing the movie controls.  A movie 
  102. will start playing in the upper left corner, and the photo will turn 
  103. into a revealing slide-show. 
  104.  
  105. Now you're in for a treat. The SexPad controls let you watch any 
  106. part of the movie that you desire.  Notice the row of three TV 
  107. monitors on the left.  These represent the three acts in each movie.  
  108. Just press the arrow button under the desired monitor to select an 
  109. act.  If you press the infinity symbol, you'll discover one of the 
  110. hottest features of the SexPad -- non-stop, cut-to-the-chase action!  
  111. As you can see, these women are insatiable!
  112.  
  113. Once you have your favorite movie running, you can set its 
  114. playback speed with the slider.  Drag the purple button all the way 
  115. right to fast forward and all the way left to rewind.  In between are 
  116. the other speeds.  The single right-facing arrow is normal speed.  
  117. Drag the button to the central square to stop the movie completely.  
  118. After it's centered you can step through the movie one frame at a 
  119. time by pressing on the left or the right half of the button.  Notice 
  120. that there is another slider on the right side of the screen to control 
  121. the slide show.  Conveniently, it works the same way. 
  122.  
  123. As you watch this sextravaganza, you may have the slide show and the 
  124. movies both running at the same time.  This makes for a wonderful 
  125. multimedia event, but it may choke a slower PC.  If you're having 
  126. performance problems (and hey, who hasn't at one time or 
  127. another?) stop the slide show by clicking on the central square in 
  128. its slider.  You can still single-step through the photos without 
  129. degrading the response of the program. 
  130.  
  131. The musical-note button lets you select different soundtracks for the 
  132. movie.  Right next to the note are the up and down volume buttons.  
  133. Thus, you can tune this entire multimedia event to your exact 
  134. specifications.  Finally, technology brings you something really 
  135. useful!  
  136.  
  137. When you're ready to explore the Pleasure Zones of a new 
  138. gorgeous gal, press the next button (the button with three arrows).   
  139.  
  140.  
  141. THE MENUS
  142. ---------
  143.  
  144. *** GIRLS: This menu lets you directly select the woman of your 
  145. dreams.  A shortcut is just to type the first letter of each name, like 
  146. "R" for Raquel.  
  147.  
  148. *** GAME: This menu selects the kind of game you want to play.  
  149. You can also select these games by typing the first letter of their 
  150. name, like "G" for Go Baby Go. 
  151.    Teacher's Pet is a good learner's game.  You have a beautiful 
  152. professor who is willing to stay after class with you.  Every time 
  153. you click in one of her Pleasure Zones, she will show you one of 
  154. her favorite toys for that area.  You can use this information to plan 
  155. your strategies for the harder games.  As they say, learning can be 
  156. fun!
  157.    Go Baby Go is for the impatient.  It opens the SexPad interface 
  158. and allows you to access any woman at any time.  Real men, of 
  159. course, would use this option only in an emergency.
  160.    She's in Charge is the default game.  Your sizzling partner is 
  161. handing you sex toys and you're the dextrous devil who must apply 
  162. them to her favorite zones. 
  163.    You're in Charge gives you command of the sex goodies.  Select 
  164. the desired icon from the goodies menu or just type the first letter 
  165. of the goody.  The cursor will change to reflect your choice.  Then 
  166. carefully click in the correct Pleasure Zone for that woman.  
  167. Remember, every woman is different.  Exploration pays off.  
  168.  
  169. *** LEVEL: The menu sets the desired level for each game.  It 
  170. goes from easiest (Virgin) to hardest (Sex-Crazed Maniac).  You 
  171. can also select these levels by typing a number from 1 to 5.
  172.  
  173. *** GOODIES: The tools of the trade.  The items in this menu can 
  174. also be selected by typing the first letter of their name, like "F" for 
  175. Feather.  Your choice determines what the cursor is, except for 
  176. those games where the woman chooses the goodies.
  177.  
  178.  
  179. QUITTING
  180. --------
  181. You probably won't want to quit, but you might need to someday.  
  182. To leave the magical world of the Pleasure Zones, press the "!" 
  183. button (or the Q key).  It clears the screen (which you will want to 
  184. do when your boss walks in) and gives you one more chance to 
  185. return to paradise.  So what's it to be?  Work or paradise?  Think it 
  186. over...

  190. SPEED TIPS
  191. ----------
  192.  
  193. If you have a slow PC, don't despair. There are ways to make things
  194. work better:
  195.  
  196. * Turn off the slide show. Find the picture you like best and then 
  197.   stop the slide show by centering the slider at the lower right of 
  198.   the screen. 
  199. * Run the movie slower. Sluggish CD-ROMs can keep up with a slo-mo 
  200.   movie. Adjust the slider under the movie to lie between the center
  201.   and the normal play position.
  202. * Switch to 8-bit color. Some computers are slowed down by the extra 
  203.   memory accesses required by 16-bit graphics.
  204. * Buy more RAM. The more of the program that fits in memory, the faster
  205.   things run.
  206. * Get a faster CD-ROM. Double-speed drives are the minimum, Triple-speed
  207.   is better.
